TIM ODDIE & ANNA LOUGHREY

Tim and Anna share a love of people, culture and nature. They have almost 15 years experience leading retreats, from the beaches of Bali to the foothills of the Himalayas. Both highly skilled facilitators, Tim and Anna’s aim is to support people witness their own potential, their shared humanity and a deep sense of connection to the world around them. Kindness, curiosity and a love of beauty are values Tim and Anna hold close to their heart and are clearly woven throughout their retreats.

TIM

Tim is a Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher with 30 years + teaching experience. With highly developed skills he conveys the essence of yoga with depth, clarity and humour. Whether you are new to yoga, have physical restrictions or have been practicing for many years, Tim will support and challenge you, as you gain greater insight into the nature of your being. Physically, mentally and emotionally you will leave his sessions feeling stronger, steadier and more resilient.

When not running retreats Tim is the Director of Geelong City Yoga, a studio he established in 2004. He conducts public classes, trains teachers, and has regularly run corporate team building exercises with organisations from Geelong Footfall Club to WorkSafe Victoria.

ANNA

Anna brings 30+ years coaching experience. Combining gentleness and directness, Anna invites you to practice letting go what needs to be let go of and letting grow what needs to grow. With this intention, Anna offers a selection of meditation and mindfulness techniques to help quieten your mind, support greater connection to your intuition and instil greater confidence to follow your heart.

When not running retreats Anna works as a mental health clinician and has run corporate mindfulness classes. Anna also runs a small business ‘Soul Dressing’, an informal counselling service for women helping them to unpack their life anxieties through looking at their relationship with their clothes.

Guest facilitators are also typically engaged to offer students the opportunity to develop new skills or increase their cultural awareness, with a particular focus on valuing Indigenous crafts and customs. Workshops have included Indigenous basket making and Balinese cooking. Cultural awareness raising opportunities have included meaningful participation in (Australian) First Nations ‘Smoking Ceremonies’ and in traditional (Balinese) ‘Cleansing Ceremonies’.
